Being a company with more than 50 years of existence in the tyre market, get to know some iconic moments of our history.
THE BEGINNING
CNB / CAMAC was born on September 21, 1967 under the designation of Fapobol Tyre Factory, SARL.
FIRST DAY
The 10 of March of 1969 was the first one of effective work. They began by producing only automobile tires but then extended that production to all-terrain, commercial, agricultural, heavy and industrial tyres.
THE NEW NAME
On April 29, 1980, the company was renamed CNB - Companhia Nacional de Borrachas, S.A. and on May 5, 1988, it was renamed CNB / CAMAC - Companhia Nacional de Borrachas, S.A.
PAPAMOBILE
During the visit of his Holiness Pope John Paul ll to Portugal, CNB / Camac provided the tyres for his vehicle.
PRESENCE AT RALI PARIS / DAKAR
Participating in several rallies, CNB / Camac was in the 5th Rally Paris / Dakar, still in the early days of the competition.
RACE DEPARTMENT
In 1986 a Race Competition began appearing in all the important events of motor sport. CNB / Camac rivaled the "giant" marks in the tests of speed, rallies and all terrain and acquired in this period much of the notoriety that subsists nowadays.
The New Camac
Until the end of 2009 the company went through several administrations and was then acquired by the present Administration, Jorge Barros Rodrigues and Fernando Barros Rodrigues with the aim of relaunching the brand and creating a new dynamics with the market.
Modernizing and expanding the range have been one of the great assets that have been adopted.
The expansion of the range began with the manufacture of tires rim 17 "and will continue with the launch of tires rim 18", 19 "and 20".
With this new Administration, CNB / Camac has been betting, with success, on expanding its sales, in the Foreign Market, to all the Continents exporting to more than 50 countries.
Another of the development strategies of CNB / Camac is the re-launch of the Camac Racing brand.
RETURN TO THE WORLD CIRCUIT
The only Portuguese tire manufacturer already sells to 50 countries, including for OTAN.
ANNIVERSARY
More than successful, these 45 years represent the triumph of a company that is guided by solid lines.
